Vote for your favorite of the Fall 2011 releases!

I thought this would be an interesting poll to take since we've all had a chance to try many of the Fall releases. I didn't include Crumbling Crypt or Wail of the Banshee since they were available in bath salts only. I also didn't include any of the returning blends.

yeah, this release was too awesome, they're all keepers. this time around there's nothing i wouldn't wear (cottage dries down nicely, for a foody. not for me but i could, that's something.) never happened for me before, usually all those foodies have me running for my corner clinging to my one or two darklings. it's also frightening because usually you hope your favorite makes the cut to the general catalog, this time with three favorites i know something is getting cut and i have this urge to buy everything in quadruples. my favorites are always the ones to get the chop first too because i like the heavy unisex ones and there aren't enough guys around to help me with the voting, (rob doesn't count, he's to omnivorous.) thicket might be safe (unless the FO's really are that $$$'y) but i think i need like five or six more devil's tongues and at least three foxcrofts... /sob

LOL Team Devil's Tongue!! I'm not sure what will be sticking around. Foxcroft will most likely be something to look forward to again for fall 2012 since it is SO fall. Manor is definitely going to have to go GC -it has definitely been our most popular blend. I'm not sure about any of the others yet, truth be told. Maybe if that poll gets some more action we'll see haha!

LOL! You and I have very much the same tastes! I totally agree that this release there really wasn't one of them that I didn't like. I didn't love TT, but that's because fruits can annoy me at times... but as for the rest of them including Devil's Tongue were freaking fantastic! I'm not a foody person at all, but I agree, the herbalness of Witches Cottage makes me really like it too. Angela has a way of making me like things I normally wouldn't because of how awesome she is at blending notes. I'm gonna have to do some major stocking up too (hmmm.. is there still room under the bed?) in order to hang on to some of these scents for a long time.

How about expanding that team to:

I haven't tried it yet, because I'm *praying* for a glace, but I voted for Witch's Cottage!!

Rob, I'll definitely join that team. And Lyeneia, you have great taste. I just learned today that you inspired Russian Caravan (one of my top favorites), and I love Devil's Tongue as well. I think Devil's Tongue needs to go GC because I don't think Angela has any other chypre blends.

Devil's tongue is the only one I haven't tried. Leather does not play nicely with me (that sounds naughty!), but maybe I'll get a sample with my next order just in case.

Such a toss-up between Manor and Foxcroft for me! Grrrr...

I'd love to know how Devil's Tongue truly is, but alas....patchouli makes my skin sad.

OMG, say it isn't so!!!

Patchouli is such a standard in some wonderful blends! That's too bad.

Devil's Tongue isn't heavy on the patchouli.. at least to my nose. Maybe get a sample in your next order and take a whiff?

Devil's Tongue is so well-blended that I can't detect patchouli in it as a dominant note, so it's definitely worth a try. I wish we could vote more than once in this poll because Devil's Tongue needs more love!

i'm going to have to abstain from voting until i get my order.

if you had included previous fall blends, i would've voted for jack and the devil hands down.

Team Thornwood Thicket

I love Manor. I actually like most of the fall releases (don't care for Gehenna too much), but Manor was a real standout for me. Thanks to SB for his post of the sample Angela sent him before it was released to the general public. Such a great all year scent (hint, hint!).

Thanks for sweet compliment Scholar, I'm glad you love caravan too! It never occurred to me very many people liked it but me. Angela's a saint for humoring one of my nutty ideas. Boggy Russian tea, black currant and peppercorn (it was supposed to be pink!) sounds pretty crazy, right? but she pulled it off like a sorcerer. She's cool like that.

After I win my Devil's Tongue crusade, I'll tilt my next windmill, a SS of tart sugared lemons and soft powdery incenses. if anyone can do a lemon that doesn't smell like household soap i know it's the great goddess Angela...

It's not on the list for voting, but I want add a very heartfelt plea for Black Mallow perfume to become a GC item. It is such a wonderfully delicious scent!! Please, please, please!!!

Anyone else love this one as much as I do?

Ah, Russian Caravan... that scent is something special! When I first read the description, I was like "ugh! currants and peppercorns? not for me!" Then, for some reason, I bought it and fell in love! It's so unique and a wonderful blend. I'll be right behind any other blends you inspire!

As for Devil's Tongue... it's right up there with my favorite of the fall releases. There were so many that I loved, it was tough for me to choose which one would be number 1. I knew Manor would be a hit with more people so I didn't choose it, so it was between Foxcroft and Devil's Tongue. I chose Foxcroft because I LOVE the way it morphs for me... but believe me, If it were for uniqueness it would definitely be DT. I wear that one a lot and each time I put it on I fall more and more in love with it!

I placed my first SS order (albeit a shmall one!) and I'm soooo excited!!

I purchased Witch's Cottage for my Mum (An X-mas gift, don'cha know?), and asked for Manor as my first free sample. I also asked (very nicely, I might add!) for a sample of Foxcroft as my second freebie! SQUEEE!!! I can't WAIT!! I'm going to sleep by my mail box until it arrives, I swear!!

Devil's Tongue is far and away my favourite, with Foxcroft second and then Manor.
