I am so excited that I discovered this company! On the advice of a friend, I checked out Solstice Scents just in time to partake of the spring collection. My order was small, I chose a whipped soap and burnishing glace in the scent "spirit tree" which seems to be inspired by one of my favorite trees..the bottle brush. I also ordered a glycerine soap in the scent "Devil's Millhopper". The package arrived three short days after placing my order. The packaging was lovely...like opening a gift from a thoughtful friend. Smile It included three perfume samples, a bookmark and a card.

The scents! The Spirit Tree whipped soap was soft and creamy. It lathered well and was gently scented with this unique floral, woody blend. After I stepped out of the bath I used the burnishing glace in the same scent. The floral top note is lovely, sweet and light. The fragrance seemed to intensify as the day wore on, but somehow seemed to remain close to the skin..this is not a scent that overpowers, but one that people will notice. Several hours later I could still smell it, this stuff has some serious lasting power! However, the scent had developed into a creamy, warm sandalwood. I could still smell traces of it almost 24 hours later when I woke the next day. I adore it!

The second scent I recieved was Devil's Millhopper. This scent is a true beauty for me. It captures the feeling of a beautiful green forest on a dewy spring morning. I think it is a very sophisticated scent, reminding me of some of my favorite classic chypre perfumes created by master perfumers. I love it so much that I don't want to use it quite yet..I've unwrapped it and displayed it on my vanity so that I can enjoy the beautiful fresh scent while I contemplate the coming day. When I do finally use it, it will be a special day indeed. Grab it while you can!
