There are places to review specific products on the forum with your impressions and opinions but this thread is specifically geared toward reviewing your overall experience with us. Feedback on things such as customer service, turnaround time, quality, ease of use on the website, product descriptions/photos, etc - any thoughts you would like to share about your order(s) and experience ordering from us would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to post pictures of your orders or link to any blog reviews you have already written to supplement your feedback in this thread. Post your favorite scents and/or products if you'd like as well!

The purpose here is to provide one area that new customers can visit and review feedback about your experiences with us in an effort to develop customer confidence and interest in trying our products for the first time. I have shown up on a variety of websites and have concerns about online security, ease of navigation on the websites, complete product descriptions, turnaround time, quality, etc when I am contemplating an order. Sometimes the products themselves show customer reviews and I find that very helpful in establishing confidence about the product itself and the company (our answer to that is to have the reviews forum so as not to clutter up the clean and organized look of the site).

Wow! What can I say about Solstice Scents' customer service? Well, in a very abbreviated manner I can say IT'S GREAT!

I have been a long-time Solstice Scents customer and I've never had one bad shopping experience. This little company does everything to perfection. Shipping is very prompt. The packaging is so beautiful that I don't even want to pull my goodies out of it so as not to disturb it. Any time I've had a question, it's been answered right away.

The products, of course, are divine! I've posted about several of them and about Solstice Scents' amazing service on my little blog, Spirits and Scents (link below).

I only ordered for the first time from SS a few weeks ago! I was delighted with the turn around time, and the quality of the products.
The perfumes are very affordable and are also generous! I want to get some soaps but I'm a little afraid of shipping costs as I am located in Singapore, so I will stick to perfumes for now.

One thing that is rather sad is that your beautifully handwritten labels have faded quite a lot within a few days, so I ended up sticking scotch tape over them.

I can declare myself addicted to Solstice Scents!

I have been a customer for quite awhile and have ordered MANY things. I love everything! It comes beautifully packaged, arrives super fast, and excellent communication! Angela is the greatest-always answers emails and questions you may have, really listens to her customers and what they would like. This is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of shopping with and will continue to shop with them forever! My cabinets are filled with SS-fabulous scents that last and are unusual! Thanks Angela for everything you do!

I have been a customer of Angela's and Solstice Scents' for a while. Angela has one of the shortest TATs (turn around times) in the industry. I usually have a CNS within a day or two of posting my order.

I am an extremely happy customer. Most of the products work well for me -- especially the facial care items. Some products are just not my thing -- not that they aren't well made -- but sometimes scents don't work well with my skin chemistry.

If I have run out of a specific item in the general catalogue, I always send a private e-mail to Angela and she always responds promptly. She usually takes suggestions and makes more of a product if someone requests it. It may not be immediately if she's in the midst of a special release, but I find that her Facebook posts always alert you to what is being replenished or released.

I have never, ever had a product leak, fall apart or separate. Every individual product is well wrapped and boxes are packed with colored shred to match the seasons. A bookmark and special thank you card from Angela is usually in each box I have ordered. I cannot say enough nice things about dealing with Angela and Solstice Scents. I highly recommend this company -- you will not be disappointed!

Website is so well organized, it's very easy to browse categories and find exactly what you want, either you want to choose by product type or scent type.

Angela is actually a real angel (her name should give a clue), she answers any question of yours very promptly and always kindly !

I'm ordering from Belgium, and yet, all my orders have arrived really fast and for a low shipping cost ! Never experienced any inconvenience: never a leaking or broken bottle, my order is always carefully and gorgeously packaged !

Although not every scent works for me, I must say every perfume I tested is always very complex and fruits of hard work.
It's never "just a scent" whether you like it or not.

I started purchasing from Solstice Scents a little over a year ago when they were still on Etsy. They were the first purchase I ever made on that site and also the first etailer besides Lush I had ever ordered B&B products from.

From that first order until my most very recent (and there have been many many many orders!), I have always without a doubt, been treated fantastically well. My orders have ALWAYS shipped within a day or two of ordering and arrive at my doorstep two days later. Since SS was my first etailer, I never knew about the horrors in customer service and TaT that other people have experienced from other etailers. As I got into more and more B&B products, I was quickly reminded that the incredible CS I receive from Solstice Scents is FAR from the norm.

My packages always arrive in-tact and the products are always beautifully packaged secure and sound. Angela's shipments always arrive with a personal note thanking me for the order. I've never received a broken, mislabeled or leaking product. Their products are of VERY high quality and everything is always wonderful scented. The best part about Angela's scents is that her descriptions are always so spot on, I can tell just by reading about a scent if it will be for me or not. I never have opened a bottle of perfume oil and said "What? There's patchouli in this? Where's the cedar? This doesn't smell anything like a well-worn leather jacket!" What you read is what you get... thankfully!

Like others have said, Angela does not take custom requests, but she certainly listens to her customers. If a few people mention they'd like to see a scent return or be available in a different medium, sometimes it will magically appear in stock. It may be a while, but Angela notes customer requests and certainly tries to give her customers what they want.

I honestly cannot think of one negative experience I've ever had with Solstice Scents. The only thing is I LOVE practically everything Angela makes and my credit card thanks me every month with many reward points! LOL

The majority of other B&B etailers could certainly use a lesson in customer service from Solstice Scents. THIS is the way a business should be run!

Ditto the comments on Solstice Scents's amazing turnaround time and customer service. A huge selling point for me is the ability to buy samples of everything before committing to a bottle (although I've bought MANY of those, as well!) I also love the quality of their non-perfume offerings like the masques, Ghost Ganace, and scrubs.

Angela and Greg put a lot of thought and love in everything they do and it shows.

I think it's all been said before--the products, the presentation, and the service are all top notch. Solstice scents' owners are clearly very committed to their business and to giving their customers the best products at reasonable prices, and they are shipped lightning fast.

I've never had an issue with an order, but when I've contacted them with questions the answers come very quickly and are always respectful and pleasant. I've been shopping with them for over two years, on both Etsy and this site, and can truly say that there simply isn't a better company out there.

I got hooked on Solstice Scents just this last January, and haven't looked back! I was shopping for a new vanilla scent, as my previous favorite from a different company had recently been discontinued. Solstice Scents has so many different, lovely scents, I had to get lots of samples, but loved every minute of my research! Not only did I find Cenobite as my new PERFECT, favorite vanilla, but found 2 other must-have scents in the soft and sensual Spellbound Woods and the intoxicating floral Nightgown.

Not only are their scents wonderful, but they LAST. I've been so disappointed with other companies when I find something I like, only to have it disappear within mere minutes of application. The scents also translate wonderfully in their other products - I also love their Ganache and Burnishing Glace, in particular.

As for customer service - it is truly unmatched. Every question I asked was promptly and politely answered. Every order was quickly shipped and received, packaged beautifully with my choice of scent sample. I was even courteously refunded some shipping cost once when I placed two orders back-to-back - Angela combined the orders for me so I could get them together and pay less.

My sister in Spain is now also a customer, and is SO happy with Solstice Scents!

This is the beginning of a VERY long relationship, to be sure!

I have been in love with Solstice Scents since my first purchase a couple of years ago. I still remember ordering Lace Drapped Spectre at Halloween. It was so wonderful. The orders always come quickly and beautifully packaged. Such care is taken you make sure you have a wonderful experience. Angela is such a caring salesperson, always wanting to please. I could write a huge review here, but honestly I review virtually every Solstice Scents order I receive (at considerable length) on my blog here .I think the thing I like the most about SS, aside from the awesome products, quick shipping, and impeccable customer service, is the communication and the way the products are presented. Ordering online from indie companies can be scary and a gamble, and you want as much information as possible so you feel you are making an educated decision. I think what attracted me to SS initially was how each scent was described in depth, often with a story to illuminate the inspiration for and the image/feeling/moment the scent was intended to evoke. All the detail, for me, helps me explore the perfume world and learn what scents notes I like, what doesn't work for me, etc. I've loved the vast majority of SS perfumes I've tried, and even the few I haven't been much for due to my personal taste and/or chemistry, I've still been able to recognize and appreciate the effort and idea behind them. The amount of effort put into each scent demonstrates to me that each scent is not a random and careless let's-toss-it-against-the-wall-and see-what- sticks operation, but rather, each scent is Angela's baby. All the communication with the customer makes me personally feel more involved, included, and appreciated, and makes me feel more in control and educated as to what I choose to purchase. If you are interested in venturing outside mainstream perfumes or feel that your style in not represented by the more commonplace scents, I totally endorse Solstice Scents without hesitation. (So I actually did just write a huge review anyway, sorry!

I placed my first order with Solstice Scents almost two years ago. I purchased the Harvest moon body ganache, and also received perfume samples with my order (SS is very generous with their samples and not to mention, they have great product packaging and design). At the time, I did not particularly like Harvest Moon, and moved on to try out products from other Etsy sellers. However, I was not satisfied--Other perfumes did not have the throw and the lasting power of SS perfumes. Also SS perfumes are very unique and you can not find them anywhere else. I kept coming back to check out their Etsy site. So I finally decided to place another order about 6 months later. I have to say I am glad I made my second purchase. I instantly fall in love with the Spellbound perfume and to this day, it is on of my favorites ( I think I read somewhere its one of SS best sellers). I have one advice for new customers: invest in perfume samples. If you don't like one of the SS perfumes, I am sure you will fall in love with another. And I am sure you will fall in love with almost all of them LOL.

SS is one my favorite perfume/bath and body sellers right now! I love their new nightgown perfume I am not a big fan of florals, but this scent is the best thing I smelled in a long, long time! I can't believe how much this little business has grown since my first purchase with them. Its all because SS has great customer service along with great products (as everyone who posted on this thread have mentioned). For me, good customer service does make a difference. Angela is a reliable seller--she has a great turnaround time ( I made a purchase two days ago and it went out today!). And she promptly answers any questions you may have. She is very open with her customers--you just have to visit the SS Facebook page to see that. The website is easy to use, better than most sites I have visited. I have not had any security issues with SS or with any other online sellers. As long as you use paypal and do not provide your credit card password to others, I am sure you will not have any security issues.

I looked back through my email notifications and I was surprised to see that I have been buying from Angela for over two years. It isn't just the product that keeps me coming back, but Angela's service is just amazing - the TAT is super fast, communication is great and she updates a lot of restock info on Facebook so that we know what to expect.

I tend to buy mainly the perfumes, but that is because I am basically a perfume oil addict and Angela does a lot of blends which are right up my alley. I love the wide range of choices and the fact that many of the scents are offered in moisturizers and bath products is great.

I know that it seems odd to think of buying something on the internet as immediate gratification, but as I mentioned before, the TAT is so quick that it pretty much is immediate gratification.

I've been purchasing from Solstice Scents for a little less than a year - and I think they are one of the best bath and body companies around. Angela and Greg ship so quickly - not sure how they keep up with all of our orders, but they seem to do really well. The packaging is always wonderful too.

And also - Solstice Scents perfume oils are the longest lasting oils I've ever tried! I can particularly recommend Manor, Outpost, and Nightgown for lasting all day and into the night, but I'm sure that some of the SS perfumes I haven't tried yet are equally as long-lasting.

Solstice Scents' customer service is hallmarked by a rapid turnaround time, attention to detail & impeccable packaging. Their packaging changes with the seasons - no annoying popcorn or craft paper will be found as stuffing in their packages. I appreciate that Angela keeps her customers updated via Twitter, FB, forum as well as the Recently Added tab on the website.

It is very easy to use the Contact Us form on the website if you have questions about a product. My experience is that Angela is very prompt in replying. Angela was wonderful to work with on an order while I was in the hospital & didn't have easy access to a computer to complete my order. That will stick with me for a very long time! There aren't large businesses let alone many small businesses that would provide that level of customer assistance & service. Angela is also easily accessible thru Twitter & Solstice Scents' FB page.

The oils are long lasting & the glace dries quickly & is not sticky. I haven't used the ganache but my husband has. I can attest that it sinks in quickly & leaves his skin feeling very soft. I appreciate the attention to detail in the description of each scent. My untrained nose can't always pick out each note listed. However, I've tried enough of her scents that I can usually tell from the written description if I will like a scent or not. What I can't tell from the description is how head over heels in love I may fall with a scent - see Snowshoe Pass & Nightgown! I know a fair number of her scents include vanilla. If you think you don't like vanilla based on what you've smelled before, even in indie perfumes, I would strongly urge you to sample a few. Angela does vanilla like no one else - not too sweet, not artificial, not foodie, not cloying. I have had people at work, clerks in a store, even my nurses in the hospital ask what scent I am wearing when I have SS perfumes on.

Miss Angela is so personable and is an absolute pleasure to deal with, whether it's something as simple as asking when an Item will be back in stock or as unusual as 'can I have some extra buisiness cards in my next order?'. By the way... just ask and she'll throw in a few extras!

As for turn Around time... One of the best in the business! I can order on, say, a Sunday... and it will be to my front door before the week is out! I love the fact that I can track my package as well. I've been known to run my family members over just to get to the mailbox as soon as the postal worker leaves.

I was referred to Solstice Scents by the lovely Alethea at Chocolate Cherries Allamanda (she writes beautiful perfume reviews and I highly recommend checking her out), as well as some other perfume loving friends. I found the site quite easy to navigate, the selections diverse but not too overwhelming, and shopping/check out functions very quick and simple to use. Service was very friendly and the turnaround/shipping time CRAZY fast--it is not unusual for me to have my order in my eager hands within a week of placing it, and I'm on the opposite side of the continent from the seller!

The scents I own from this company are beautiful, complex, and among my favorites! In addition, their packaging is lovely and functional at once and as a repeat customer I appreciate their devotion to excellent service and their loyalty rewards program. All in all a delight to shop with!

I am a new customer of Solstice Scents. The first thing I must say is that the turn-around time is amazing!! Orders ship out within two days and arrives the next week (to Canada).

Also, the quality of their products is excellent. Everything is well-packaged, perfumes are complex and easily last hours on me and their facial products seem to be working well for me at the moment. Everything comes beautifully packaged in a box full of confetti. Oh, and everything is reasonably-priced too which is awesome for the quality of products.

Also, I really really love the website. It's easy to navigate, product photos are good-quality and beautiful and the product descriptions I find are accurate. I also really like the SS Forums because I can find reviews of particular products/scents before I purchase - it's so helpful.

I love Solstice Scents! Here are my reviews/opinions:

Customer Service: The CS at SS is fantastic. I can really tell Angela & Greg care about their customers, and ensuring every customer is completely satisfied with their Solstice Scents experience. Angela is quick to answer questions and reply to emails. I’ve NEVER had an issue with the customer service, which is something I really appreciate with a company - it makes me feel like a valued customer.

Turnaround Time: What else can I say - it’s amazingly quick. I love the fact that I can go to SS’s site, order, and then receive a shipping notice within 48 hours. I think it’s wonderful I can buy such unique, beautiful fragrances and products, and have them sitting in my mailbox within 1 week.

Quality of Products: These are top-notch products. The first time I ordered from SS was when they were still on Etsy; I liked the products I got, but didn’t order again until last year. Now, I’m totally wowed by the SS products I order, and they are one of my top go-to etailers for quality bath/body products. Everything is totally gift-worthy, and very affordable.

Website Ease of Use: The website is easy to use when on my laptop. When I’m on my phone (Droid), the pages don’t load correctly, and it’s annoying. When I scroll, part of the page will be black, and part of the page will have text on it. I don’t know if my phone is at fault, or if it’s how the site is set up. Also, I really wish I could click on the Solstice Scents name on the top left-hand side of the page to return to the home page. I always do this out of habit from other sites, but of course, it’s not clickable. Instead, I have to click “Home” to return to the home page, and I don’t really like that. /whine

Random Thoughts:

--I absolutely love the rewards program! Once again, this program makes me feel like a valued customer.

--Although I can appreciate the individual attention given to every product when the scent is hand-written on the label, I do wish the names of the scents were pre-printed on the label. I’ve had issues in the past with the scent name smearing off the product, when it’s been in contact with water or perfume oil.

--Every one of the packages I’ve received from SS have been beautifully packed with festive shredded paper, and a hand-written “Thank you” from Angela. They also include a bookmark with the SS logo on it, along with a business card. Very nice!

--I LOVE how accurate the scent descriptions are on the site. Angela really has a wonderful way of describing a scent, so you know immediately if you will like it or not. I think SS is the first company I’ve ever ordered from, who offered such detailed and accurate scent descriptions.

--I know these can be a PITA, but I would like to see samplers offered in the future - like a gift set with a small body ganache, perfume sample, and a small whipped soap, or something like that. I do quite a bit of traveling with my job, so I would like to bring small versions of SS products with me, without having to decant them beforehand.

--I would also love if SS offered deodorants. I really want Witch's Cottage-scented pits.

--I think Solstice Scents does “woodsy vanilla” scents better than any other company out there, HANDS DOWN.

--The bath soaks are probably the best bath products I’ve ever tried. I don’t take very many baths these days, but SS bath salts are amazing - highly-scented, skin-softening, and totally relaxing.

--The Oatmeal, Coconut Milk, and Honey Masque is, in one word, perfect! It clears up any current breakouts and leaves my skin super-soft and radiant.

--The Rosemilk Day Cream is a fantastic daily facial moisturizer. Perfect for my 30-something, finicky skin. Doesn’t clog my pores, and reduces the redness in my cheeks - this cream is a must-have in my beauty arsenal!

--One of my favorite scents is Black Mallow, and if I would LOVE to be able to order this in a whipped soap! Black licorice + marshmallow = perfection.

--Some other fave scents - Manor, Spellbound Woods, Old Cedar Magus, Witch's Cottage. The Amber blends are amazing as well.
