Loaded with rare, precious and exquisite ingredients, Incensum features an amber base with loads of frankincense and myrrh resins, palo santo wood, spices (soft touches of clove, cardamom and nutmeg), sandalwood, spikenard, Indian attars, oud, several vetivers, copal, a light hint of saffron and a little bit of jasmine and rose absolutes. A very meditative blend. A little lighter and sweeter than Basilica with a hint of Cascade of Gold type notes, Incensum is definitely its own animal. It's sweet, spicy, dusty, warm and golden. It has a variety of labdanums, frankincenses (including some from a very small artisanal distiller) and is heaviest on these two notes but it's also complex and I didn't hold back on some of the costlier and more precious oils and attars. Incensum is a 100% botanical blend with only essential oils, absolutes, attars, etc. Some of you may remember this one being mentioned a few times in the past and it is finally ready for its debut. Give this oil a shake before application as the darker heavier oils sink a little to the bottom over time. A really lovely scent for meditation; I've been using it for yoga and before bed.

Please remember this is a natural blend and doesn't have the same performance as a synthetic perfume. It goes on nice and detectable and diffuses for 30 minutes to an hour with moderate throw. It has decent lasting power for a natural perfume (I've gotten at least 4 to 5 hours out of it) but this is a very private and personal perfume for the most part. As in it wears close to the body and does not waft and project for hours like some of our synthetic blends.

I need to share my love for Incensum, which I got a sample of last night and promptly proceeded to ordering two bottles today! It is just gorgeous: opens green and earthy and quite complex (I am thinking vetiver is prominent at this point) and about 20-30 minutes later the resins start to emerge, kind of shyly at first and then in their full shiny glory. The frankincense is just breathtakingly beautiful. All ingredients are certainly of highest quality. Angela mentioned in her description that performance may be not quite the same as synthetic blends, but I have no complaints. I put few drops this morning at 6AM and I have no trouble detecting it now at noon with hopefully still some hours to go.

I really enjoy this scent.  It's dry and woody, thick with resins/incense (lots of wonderful frankincense, sweet myrrh and heavy labdanum here), has a gorgeous, peppery spiciness to it and an almost honeyed, sweet quality to it in the drydown.  It's dark, golden resins and honey dripping over dry wood, like pine sap.  Actually, there's a hint of something that smells like pine sap on me in the drydown as well.  I love it.
Incensum also has good throw and staying power on me.  It is very noticeable for 7+ hours, and I only apply two little drops of it to my wrists and smudge them through the ends of my hair.

I was surprised how long lasting and how much throw this has for a natural scent. I dabbed a bit in the hollow of my neck was able to detect it for several hours. This is a very grounding, meditative scent that I wear just for me. Fans of Inquisitor and Minister should definitely give Incensum a try. This has been in heavy rotation for me since I received it and I think it might be one of my favorite resin scents from Solstice.

Deep, raw, mesmerisingly complex and truly beautiful. I am enamoured with this fragrance. It opens dark and hypnotic and immediately draws you into its spell. The quality of ingredients that have been used speak for themselves. As Angela notes, it is replete with labdanum and frankincense, but she has blended a number of different (and unusual) blends to take these notes somewhere new and fascinating to my nose. I detect the vetivers, a hint of Oud and myrrh. The hint of floral sweetness is balanced by the bitterness of the saffron, but resins dominate.

Truly magnificent and clearly the work of a master parfumer.

Out of Minister, Basilica, Inquisitor, Scrying Smoke and Conjure Dark, Incensum is my very favourite SS resin (or any SS!) scent. It really is a love letter to resin and such a beautifully complex but well blended perfume, it literally transports me whenever I smell it; as in I have difficulty preventing my eyes from rolling back in my head everytime I huff it, it's that amazing.

I agree with others re: longevity. This lasted a good 7 hours on me at least.
