| BLACKBURN'S PARLOR Vanilla Waffle Bowl, Vanilla & Chocolate Ice Creams, Sliced Bananas Smothered In Caramel Sauce & Topped With Whipped CreamAs you enter Blackburn's Parlor, you're overcome by the scent of fresh made vanilla waffle bowls and cones. Gleaming black and white checkered flooring leads you to the ice cream case, which is brimming with full tubs of rich, smooth homemade dairy delights. All of the ice cream in Blackburn's Parlor is made with the fresh organic milk from pastured grass-fed dairy cows from Blackburn's Farmstead. While Blackburn's Parlor features an array of a dozen creamy flavors and every topping of your heart's desire, you're here for the Blackburn's Signature Sundae. A golden brown vanilla waffle bowl, just cool enough to cradle your sundae, is filled with two scoops of smooth vanilla ice cream, one scoop of chocolate, a few pieces of thinly sliced banana and a generous dose of caramel sauce, all topped with a pile of fresh whipped cream. The banana is a top note and will fade. The dry down features the vanilla waffle cone and caramel as the most dominant notes. Wearing Blackburn's Parlor while enjoying a Signature Sundae is recommended!

| This is a really yummy scent. I purchased a full size although I haven't used up my sample yet out of paranoia lol. The scent is pretty much the way Angela describes it, and the banana is not a golden, super ripe and flavorful one which I'm thankful for as I like bananas in small doses. Luckily, I don't really get a caramel note from it, which might be a bad thing for others, but I really hate caramel. My only gripe with this fragrance is the lasting power, which isn't on par with other SS oils. It goes through the phases described pretty quickly before disappearing altogether. Still, this is an original enough scent for me to justify buying a full sized bottle of. | |

| My comments are based on a tester that Angela included with my last purchase and I have been careful to give this a number of trials before making comments.
One of the characteristics that I love about Solstice Scents is the subtlety and thought that goes into each fragrance. That is why I was astonished on my first try of Blackburn's Parlour at the almost overwhelming array of notes that struck my nose. It seemed that Angela had thrown everything, including the kitchen sink, into the mix. Yes it does open with the banana blast described. For a moment it is the artificial chemical ester banana that is found in so many cheap foodstuffs and sweets, but before you can actually register that link, the banana magically becomes a lovely ripe 'real' banana note. The transformation is quite extraordinary. This opening banana does fade quickly and the other sweeter gourmand notes of caramel and a sweet vanilla come to the fore. The chocolate is there as well. It is in this beginning phase that Angela's description is most apt and correct. It does indeed smell like you are sitting in front of a banana icecream filled waffle covered in caramel sauce - delicious, but difficult to wear.
"Loraphant" is quite correct in her observation that this scent fades quickly, but fortunately for me it remains on my skin as a subtle sweet non-cloying fragrance for several hours after the top notes have vanished.
It is at this stage that I find I enjoy Blackburn's Parlour the most. If it had stayed at its initial volume, BP wouild have been rather an overwhelming fragrance and very difficult to wear. Part of me wants to say that it quickly becomes a soft skin scent, but that is misleading as I have discovered in multiple wearings. The sillage is surprising for what I would have thought as a skin-scent, so I have to be careful in saying that it fades too quickly. It does and it doesn't weirdly enough. At times I find it has disappeared altogether, then I detect a clear note of the creamy vanilla and a shade of the caramel and know that is still there. Then I catch a whiff of banana again. Absolute contradictions - it comes and goes, though always softly.
So despite a loud and complex opening, this should be considered a soft scent which will find a place in your heart if you are expecting the right things. It is sweet and gentle and very, very comforting. I have found that layering this scent on itself after twenty minutes or so creates a longer lasting fragrance as well. The "waffle" opening is indeed a treat, but not really what the fragrance is all about. | |

| I LOVE this scent! I've always loved gourmand perfumes, and this one makes me hungry. It smells like heavenly hash ice cream in a big, glorious waffle cone on me! The chocolate and vanilla blend together beautifully, the banana top note is unusual (seriously, I've never smelled a banana perfume before!), although it fades so fast!, and there's a warm, buttery, waffle note that underpins the whole thing. It's definitely a favourite! | |

| Buttery and banana are two descriptors that tend to make me leery of any scent, but this one was a pleasant surprise. It's more of a rich vanilla dessert, with some banana in the background. It's rich, but not what I'd call buttery, which tends to be overpowering on me. Gourmand lovers check it out. | |

| It smells like a banana rum with whipped cream on top. I smell a sugared plum sort of smell in the banana rum, but some caramel notes turn into tart sugared plums on me. So I'm not sure if everyone will get the same results as me. After 25 min it's mostly sugared plums with cream. Delicious smell and I love it! | |

| I love this scent in the bottle. It's chocolate banana split wonderfulness. The first time I wore it was the very second I received my order! I sniffed all my samples and wanted to put this on immediately. I had put on a different oil that morning, but the scent was gone by the time I got the mail, so I thought it would be ok. It turned this into a generic "fall" scent, which was weird. It was ok, but not chocolatey awesomeness like in the bottle. So a couple days later, I tried this again fresh out of the shower. This time, it seemed promising! I could smell chocolate and a bit of bananas upon application, and then it almost immediately dried down to slightly chocolate musk and stayed exactly that for the rest of the day. Very disappointed. It did have what I like to refer to as Solstice Scents "signature dry-down" - every scent I've tried from here dries down to a very comforting, warm, sweet canned milk smell when it's at the end of the road / no original scent left territory (usually the next morning). Almost like baby formula, but not gross at all. I want this to smell good on me SO bad! I'm very jealous of everyone who this smells amazing on! Maybe I'll try my luck with the lotion because I absolutely adore this in the bottle. This is the only scent I've tried so far that doesn't work for me/smells drastically different on me than it does in the bottle. | |

| This was a surprise hit for me. I thought it sounded like it would be way too sweet, and I couldn't imagine banana working well as a perfume note. But I had read so many rave reviews I felt I had to try it.
It starts out with a freshly cut banana note, slightly on the green side. It's impressive how realistic it is. At first, it was my least favorite part of the perfume, but I found myself really appreciating it after a few tries. As the banana fades, I get a hint of caramel, very smooth and not too sweet. The dry down on my skin smells exactly like chocolate soft serve ice cream, with a touch of soft wood in the background that I assume represents the waffle cone.
Longevity was really good on me, but after the drydown it stayed close to the skin, making it a great perfume for work. I enjoyed catching delicious whiffs of ice cream throughout the day.

| On first application this smells like BANANAS and a bit of cocoa and caramel. After about 5 minutes, this calms down and the waffle cone and vanilla come out so, sooo nicely. Sweet but not even close to cloying, and warm. For the rest of the day I'm happy to say that I can detect the waffle cone and the vanilla, and it's gorgeous. For gourmand lovers like me, TRY THIS ONE! | |

| Blackburn’s Parlor - When first applied this is all sweet banana and vanilla ice cream on my skin. After a few minutes the chocolate and waffle bowl come out. This really does smell like a banana sundae with chocolate syrup! The first time I wore it people kept asking if I was eating chocolate. Of all the SS perfumes I’ve tried this one has one of the best wear times on me, at least 8 hours before fading. | |

| I enjoy Solstice Scent's banana note a lot, because it's creamy and fresh & natural smelling rather than sickly-sweet or candied. I get that fresh, creamy banana with hints of warm caramel and soft vanilla from Blackburn's Parlor. No chocolate. Turns a little powdery on me in the drydown, but is mostly a fresh and gorgeous banana with silky vanilla-caramel drizzled over it. I'm really liking this. The banana even has a tiny hint of that bitter green that you get when you peel an actual banana. This might be the most realistic and delicious banana perfume I've ever tried. | |

| This smells mainly like bananas to me at first. Like maybe a banana split with ice cream and chocolate sauce and maybe some whipped cream. | |
