My sample of Library has been getting a lot of love around here. At first application, it's a true and strong leather, but it quickly begins to shift around to a softer leather and a woody note rises to the top. After about a half hour in, the paper note came out for me, mingling with all of these notes and creating an amazing sum for the whole of the parts. It's really fantastic--but then I love Solstice Scents leather notes, so I'm probably biased.
I loved the smell of Witch's Cottage soap so much that I turned around this afternoon and ordered the perfume. So fresh and lovely.
I'm pretty amazed at the staying power of Blackburn Farmstead. I applied it over 12 hours ago, and I can still smell the patch on my arm. At first application, I wasn't sure if the grape syrup was going to go away, but then it started to merge with my skin and I've really been enjoying this one--although it's much sweeter than I tend to gravitate toward in terms of perfume.
I cannot get enough of my Pumpkin Spice Latte. It is soooo amazing. Caribou Coffee makes *the best* pumpkin spice latte, and my first comment was, "This smells like Caribou's Pumpkin Spice latte!" I love the way the coffee provides the perfect balance for the sweeter notes, and how it all comes together.
Jack & The Devil is a new love. To me it is the perfect autumn/Halloween scent. So spot on for what I love in autumn scents.
Devil's Tongue was a lot more masculine than I expected at first application, but as it dried down I couldn't stop sniffing my arm. I want to try that one allllll by itself so I can get the full effect. I really like how dry it seemed to be at first, then how it softened and opened up some.
I think I need to try Halloween Night all by itself. The initial chocolate note was pretty fun and then it shifted down to a marshmallowy nougat, but then from there it seemed to want to do some kind of powdery weird thing. I think it's being thrown off by some of the other scents though, so I'll be playing around with it some more. I'd still like it even if it stayed as it is, but I have a feeling that once it gets on its own, it'll really shine.
