CONJURE DARK 60 ml Eau de Parfum Spray
Amber, Frankincense, Sweet Incense Smoke, Dried Rose Petals, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Woods, Oud, Vanilla
IN ORDER TO PREVENT SKIN SENSITIZATION, DO NOT APPLY THIS PRODUCT DIRECTLY TO SKIN AFTER A HOT SHOWER OR BATH. USE CAUTION APPLYING TO SENSITIVE AREAS SUCH AS THE NECK. AS WITH ALL PERFUME, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST PRIOR TO APPLYING ALL OVER TO CHECK FOR SENSITIVITY.
An altar cloth is infused with year's of burning resin smoke, steeped in an amber-heavy blend with extra sandalwood EO, vetiver, sweet incense smoke, dried rose petals, woods, soft oud, a hint of vanilla and a medley of spices. It is completely from scratch and does not use the original Conjure perfume as its base with additional notes on top. It is darker, deeper and much less sweet with tons of frankincense resins. The frankincense smells just like burning a blend of frankincense and copal resins in the EDP. Frankincense essential oil has a brighter odor with a hint of astringency and medicinal notes out of the bottle. The scent of burning resins is completely different. It's very obvious in the EDP so if you're a frankincense nut, it really shines for the first hour of wear. It is detectable in the oil but everything smells a little creamier in the oil format. In both versions, the dry down is similar: deep amber base with the other notes swirling through. You may notice a hint of different notes each time you smell it. You may detect a whiff of spices, or dried rose petals, incense, sweet smoke or an earthy amber/vetiver blend. It shares similar notes and character with the original Conjure but it is definitely its own blend.

This starts off with a big blast of smoke and sweet incense and a touch of Frankincense, but that backs of rather quickly. The dried roses come out as does the wood and oudh (love oudh). Amber seems to be a scent that comes and goes within the whole. The vanilla begins to sweeten the base, but only gently. You can definitely smell the original Conjure in and around this, but, as the name implies, it is darkened. To me, it swirls more than OG Conjure. Almost as if you were there, watching a Conjuring occur and the various scents came and went with the shifting of the wind. I adore the oil and must have the EDP.

Absolutely intoxicating! You can smell the Conjure backbone throughout this, but it's different enough to stand on it's own. The Amber and vanilla are similar to the original foundation. What's different is the tendrils of incense smoke, charred edges, and touches of a deeper wood. The throw is definitely stronger, and longer than the other one. That's a very good thing. I think I prefer this over the original Conjure, actually. They are different enough to actually justify owning both, though

There's a definite resemblance to Conjure, but Conjure Dark is absolutely a different perfume in its own right. I notice some of the beautiful notes in Conjure here also - the cool vanilla amber, the faint smoke... But there's something deeper and darker going on here in Conjure Dark. To me the effect is almost animalic - not in a skanky unclean way, but in a warm, snuggly, smooth and incredibly attractive way. The scent is beautiful, and glamorous - when I wear this, I get the feeling that I'm raiding the wardrobe of a 1920s Hollywood film star, looking through their wonderful intricate costumes - velvets, fur, brocades. I don't know why I get that imagery, but I quite enjoy the aesthetic Conjure Dark invokes; and I absolutely love the scent.

As it's first applied, the darkness of the frankincense and vetiver are clearly present, then as the oil settles, an evocative aroma of dried rose petals rise and join along with amber, smoke, vanilla and more. The richness and depth are glorious and addicting, to say the least! The fragrance endures for a super long time on the skin. For anyone who loves Conjure, this should be a scent you can't wait to try. I have had the joy of sampling and using the premium oil and the edp sample, both are going to get lots of use!

This smells so good in the bottle - like rich, ancient resins, dried and gothic roses, and a hint of dark spices. The resins smell dark and almost ominous. Really intriguing.
On my skin, however, Conjure Dark immediately explodes into tons of baby powder and bright, golden, thin amber. Not dark at all and no roses, spices or smoke.
I so wish that this worked on me, because it smells beautiful in the bottle, but it's one of those scents that just turns to powder once it touches my skin

Wow this is so weird. I first put it on this morning and could just smell amber. A lovely, natural based, slightly darker smelling amber, but just amber. Reminded me a lot of Alkemia's natural Ambre Extrait. No rose petals, no vanilla, no spices. Just reapplied a small dab on my wrist where I originally applied it tonight and this time there's no amber at all, just dark powdery rose petal dust, vanilla and woods. Amazing and I really like how chameleonic it is. I'll be getting a FB for sure.
