An alphabetical list of the scents and which formats they will be offered in tonight at 7 pm EST is provided just below. The main notes and scent family for each fragrance are provided. A longer, much more detailed description of the scent will be viewable on each full size perfume listing when the release is live. Previews of several of these scents have been posted to our Facebook business page and our Instagram profile @solsticescents where you can read the longer detailed descriptions discussing what you will notice upon initial application and into the dry down as well as prominent notes ahead of the release. An at-a-glance list of offerings itemized by the type of product each scent is offered in is just below the scent list as well.
IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFO - Please verify your shipping address and desired shipping method are correct when you check out! Do not rely on autofill to be accurate. Orders placed tonight will be automatically combined should you place more than one but we cannot guarantee combined orders beyond today (will we try but you would need to contact us to be sure). Processing of orders begins tomorrow. Please try to place one order but know we will combine multiples for orders placed tonight. TURNAROUND TIME FOR THIS RELEASE: Please allow us additional time beyond our typical 24 hour turnaround time due to high volume of orders received. This is our largest collection of the year and we anticipate needing up to approximately 10 days from when an order is placed before it ships. Please allow a maximum of 14 days though we feel, based on previous experience, that we will have all orders from tonight and many from tomorrow out in 8 days or less, 10 at worst. We have never gone beyond a 7 day turnaround time for a release but it came close for the summer collection and we would rather give customers a worst case scenario than exceed a projected turnaround time. The 14 days is just a safe guard because this is a very sample pack heavy release and these slow down our processing time a bit. All full size products and 2.5 ml EDP sample sprays are ready to ship. Actual inventory listed. Sample packs may require some assembly and may take additional time to prepare before shipping.
USPS is under a lot of additional strain between changes within the system itself, the mail-in voting for this election year and Amazon Prime Day. We recommend selecting Priority Mail at check out if you would like to receive your order sooner than later. First class mail will likely take additional time to arrive. All classes of mail seem to be moving a little slower depending on your location in the country. FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: We are still strongly recommend that you select DHL at check out as DHL orders are fully trackable, arrive quickly and we have full customer service for any issues that arrive. DHL is not available to all countries or, if you live in a rural location, shipping is much more expensive. For this reason, we continue to offer USPS first class international shipping but we only recommend it as a last resort or if you have no other options as this class of mail has been taking much longer to arrive this year. The orders are not trackable, there is no customer service and they cannot be guaranteed. Allow up to 3 months for USPS first class international orders to arrive.
A NOTE ON OUR EXTRAITS: There has been some confusion about our extraits that I have been trying to clear up. Not all of our extraits are oil based. We have many perfumes in our catalog that are organic cane sugar alcohol based. The carrier used is indicated on the notes list for our Master Scent Reference and the list on the sample 5 and 10 packs. Sea of Gray, Runestone, Casting Shadows, Scrying Smoke, Guardian and many more are organic cane sugar alcohol based. We recommend never smelling/judging perfumes from the vial as this is not only a poor way to evaluate a perfume but, in the case of the alcohol based scents, they may "burn" your nose or smell strongly of alcohol. The alcohol evaporates shortly after application. Applying perfume is the best way to experience a scent. The top notes burn off, the notes evolve and morph and meld with your person skin chemistry and the dry down focuses on the base notes. Our straight gourmand perfumes tend to be more linear and also very sweet. The other fragrance categories tend to be more complex overall and morph over time. This is often why when you smell a perfume weeks or a month later, you think it has changed somehow dramatically but really, you overwhelmed your nose at the beginning by smelling too many things at one time. Our perfumes typically only need a max of 48 hours to rest from temperature fluctuations in transit. Perfumes are volatile and may be affected by the heat of summer and cold of winter, less so at more stable temps throughout the year.
HOW TO PURCHASE SAMPLES: Samples will be available for all of our perfumes except for Black Mallow. Available perfumes are listed on a check box menu in alphabetical order on our sample 5 and 10 packs. Perfumes that are not available because they are either out of stock or out of season will not display on the check box menu. ABOUT EDP SAMPLES AND GENERAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN OIL BASED PERFUMES AND ALCOHOL BASED EXTRAITS/EDPS: In addition to offering the 5 and 10 sample extrait packs, we offer 2.5 ml Eau de Parfum sample sprays. If you tend to prefer mainstream/commercial/designer perfumery, you will likely prefer this format. EDPs are excellent for spraying on clothing, misting in hair or layering with our oil based perfume extraits in order to maximize scent strength, throw and longevity. One of the most common questions I receive is asking about the difference between our oil extraits versus EDPs. Our alcohol based extraits and EDPs are the *exact same thing*. This means Sea of Gray in the 1 ml, 2.5ml, 5 ml and 60 ml are all the exact same "juice". The alcohol based scents ride at the lower end of extrait concentration and at the highest end of EDP concentration so they could be considered either an extrait or an EDP. The largest difference between an oil and an alcohol based perfume as that notes shine more true and clearer in the alcohol format as it is a more volatile carrier. This may produce additional scent throw as well. Oil tends to tamp down and dampen top notes and the oil based perfumes tend to be a more intimate experience and wear closer to the skin on the dry down. For our alcohol based extraits, apply a little more than you typically would for an oil and you may want to apply a second dose layered over the top. Alcohol is more drying to the skin so you can increase longevity by applying over unscented moisturizer or layering with our oil extraits or Glaces (where available) I find that all of our perfumes last longer when applying to the posterior/exterior of arm rather than the interior of wrists where our body heat burns them up faster. Please note that not all of our extraits are offered in EDP format and some of our EDPs are exclusive to that formula and not available as extraits. More info is listed on both the sample pack and 2.5 ml EDP sample spray category on our site. Available 2.5 ml EDP samples will be listed on the drop down menu for that listing. If an item is out of stock, it will not display.
ATTENTION MOBILE SHOPPERS: We successfully receive a large volume of orders but there have been about 10 contacts from customers over the past few months who have mentioned that when they add more than one item to their cart on their mobile device, the cart is blank and only a PayPal button displays. ABOUT RESTOCKS AFTER THIS RELEASE: We do not have plans at this time to restock the Whipped Soaps, Dead Sea Salt Soaks or Burnishing Glaces. Any restocks of select Whipped Soaps or Glaces from the Fall Collection *might* occur with our winter release in December. We are going to focus solely on shipping your orders quickly and maintaining our perfume inventory. The fall perfumes should be available for several months or even into 2021 for many of them. The only one that will definitely not be restocked is Black Mallow, which will likely sell out tonight due to the very limited availability and no samples will be available of Black Mallow.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN MALLOW* - *SLIGHTLY REFORMULATED 2020* Burnishing Glace for this release. Extrait (oil based) and Eau de Parfum will be added back to the General Catalog and available as well. VERY SMOKY. This is more about the smoke than the marshmallow. Contains elements of bonfire smoke, embers, wood and the charred exterior of a toasted marshmallow. Light resins highlight the smoke. The marshmallow is subtle in the opening and will sweeten over time on the skin. This is not a light delicate smoke scent. This is the scent of sitting around the fire, toasting marshmallows, when the smoke infuses your hair and clothing. Very warm and delicious. The reformulation smells extremely close to the original formula. This and Corvin's Smoked Apple are the smokiest scents in our catalog. THORNWOOD THICKET* - Extrait (oil based) and Eau de Parfum. Sugared Blackberries, Amber, Oud, Guaiacwood, Oakmoss. This was a General Catalog perfume reformulated in 2015. the 2015 version is quite different than the version offered prior to 2015. Tonight's restock is the same formula that has been offered since 2015. It has been unavailable for a long time as I can no longer source the specific oud in this formula and there are other endangered ingredients in the blend which means it will have to be reformulated in the future to continue offering it. I had a small quantity remaining of the oud in this blend and have used some of it to bring this formula back for fall. AMBER/WOODY/FRUIT
